About Angeline Teh

A seasoned banker turned author and coach, Angeline Teh, is the Founder and CEO of Future Proof Minds Consulting with over 20 years of working experience under her belt in the corporate world; of which 18 years in banking and 2 years in IT. With strong credentials in business transformation, revenue growth and known for excellent client relationship management skills, Angeline is currently on a mission to inspire good leadership values, impact lives and helping others find their purpose to achieve a fulfilling life.

A self-starter and a determined go-getter, Angeline, after two and half years of graduating secondary school and working in a finance company (following the advice of her parents), saved her money and self-funded the pursuit of a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Finance. After graduation, Angeline slowly worked her way up from bank teller to investment banker culminating in her heading her own department.

Her vast experience in sales, marketing and operations spanned across various industries mainly in the banking industry; from retail banking to investment banking, from selling mutual funds to insurance, marketing IT training programmes to selling timeshare membership. Her sound experience in sales, marketing and operations enabled her to sell multiple products and resolve critical issues in the organisations that she worked. Her experience in the banking industry includes foreign and local banks such as AmBank, UOB, RHB, Citigroup Private Bank, Citibank, Maybank, Maybank Investment Bank just to name a few.

The pinnacle of her banking career was swiping the prestigious Triple A Asset award on behalf of her department for two consecutive years in 2014 and 2015. This is an international award that recognises the best department among all foreign and local banks in Malaysia.

Angeline has helped solved many problems in the corporate world. Now as an author and coach, Angeline has inspired hundreds of people through her book ‘Wisdom of the Past’, a book on leadership based on an influential leader. In her book, she has included a simple, systematically structured and transferable 7-step strategy that will help others find their purpose.

Angeline has also touched many lives and helped personal life crisis turn around. Angeline has coached cases on finding purpose and direction, coping with loss of loved ones, divorce, marital problems, father and daughter problems, mother and son problems. Results being clarity gained, purpose found, focus enhanced, marriage restored, depression avoided, families connected and relationships rekindled. Given her strengths and experiences, Angeline hopes to continue dedicating her life mission on helping others by helping them find their purpose and inspiring good leadership values.


Moral Leadership with Future Proof Minds


Future Proof Minds is the brainchild of Angeline Teh. After spending 20 years in the corporate world, Angeline realised that there is a need for moral leadership. According to an article on LinkedIn, the author of ‘Office politics make BEST PEOPLE quit’, he stated that “In weak companies, politics win. In strong companies, best ideas do”, a quote taken from Steve Jobs. Hence, Angeline believes that if we believe in our strengths, our ideas will take us far.

The turning point of Angeline’s career came as a result of a series of events that took place in her life including the finding of her great great grandfather’s biography, Teh Lay Seng, who was once an influential leader during his time. After discovering the biography of her great great grandfather, she decided to share her great great grandfather’s leadership values, selfless leadership which she believes, have been long forgotten. 

According to World Economic Forum, “Less than a quarter of employees think their managers exhibit the qualities and behaviour of moral leaders. Only 17% say their managers normally tell the truth. This lack of moral leadership has profound effects on organisations. Employees believe this moral vacuum is making them worse at their jobs and making it harder for their organisations to meet their goals, let alone surpass them.” Hence, integrity has a significant impact on an organisation's performance.

According to their analysis, “When managers lead with humility, they are 22 times more likely to be trusted by their colleagues. When managers are able to make themselves small and create an atmosphere in which others can stand up and deliver a great performance, they are 11 times more likely to achieve their business goals. Hence, although rare, moral leadership can be extremely effective.”

As we move towards Society 5.0, businesses are no longer sustainable if they continue to operate how they operated ten years ago as we know, technology can be disruptive. The younger generation are now more socially conscious due to technology. Social media and other technology have allowed ordinary people to hold the most powerful leaders accountable. Hence, leaders of organisations even more so than before are required to be more socially responsible.

Technology, when used morally can help resolve many world issues. People can now access information easily and with AI, solutions can be created without the use of human. Hence, in order to be sustainable, it is imperative that we change our mindset to grow, to be more imaginative and creative ahead of robotics, taking into account the need to provide solutions and value that have a social impact. Hence, social imagination and moral leadership are key in order to future proof your career and your organisation.
